Design of appliance for assembling of sealing
Vávra, Jan ; Vlašic, František (referee) ; Prokeš, František (advisor)
The object of this bachelor thesis is designing and constructing plant for manual deployment rubber gasket while production connectors to cars. Part of the work is devoted general orientation the assembly plant, another part is devoted itself alternative solutions design variants and selection of appropriate alternative solutions. The reset of this work is 3D model of plant.
Experimental Stand for Determination of Turbocharger Lubricant Consumption
Kuhajdik, Matej ; Doman, Jozef (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This work solves the problem of lubricant consumption in the turbocharger and air blow–by from the compressor part of the turbocharger into the bearing housing. The chosen problem is solved by the design of the test mechanism that will be used in the technical experiment. The experiment provides analysis options for the GT35 turbocharger rotor seal. Part of the work is a complete drawing documentation of the test equipment, installation procedure and instructions for operating the equipment.
Turbocharger seals
Holík, Petr ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with theme of turbocharger seals. The aims of a thesis are to compare a turbocharger seals used in PBS Turbo turbochargers and to describe a testing of a seals. Principle of turbocharging and types of turbocharger are described in fist part. Next point of the thesis is describing of a face seals and non-contacting seals. The main part of the thesis describes kinds and reasons of seals testing; also contains comparison between labyrinth seals and piston ring, comparison of seals of PBS Turbo’s turbochargers and assesses the impact of turbocharger angle on the tightness of the seal.
Design of a hydrodynamic seal of an axial pump with an annular motor
Jančík, Kryštof ; Fialová, Simona (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a hydrodynamic seal of an axial pump with an annular motor, and it does so in three main thematic planes: research of current knowledge, simulation and experimental. The research section provides an overview of a broad problem of magnetic fluid seals (ferrohydrodynamic (FHD) seals), current developments in the field of simulation of internal flow in magnetic fluid and in the field of application of FHD technology in sealing liquids. It also covers a wider context of potential use for mechanical circulatory support systems that have had a significant impact on the proposed concept of a novel axial FHD seal. The remaining two thematic planes deal with his design and experimental testing.
Worm conveyor
Sedláček, Martin ; Jonák, Martin (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with calculation and construction of worm conveyor for slightly sloping transport. The whole work is divided into two main sections, which include structural and textual parts. The text contains analysis of option for single parts of conveyor, functional and strength calculations, which are necessary for proposal of worm conveyor. The structural part includes mechanical drawings, which consists of drawing of configuration and drawings of details for worm shaft.
Nozzle separation valve design for rasterization electron microscope
Hoffman, Petr ; Navrátil, Václav (referee) ; Foltýnová, Dana (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is a design and subsequent construction of a vacuum separation valve for a scanning electron microscope. The introduction describes the functions of an isolating valve. The function of the scanning electron microscope is described in the overview of the current state of knowledge. The following chapters focus on conceptual designs of the valve, their descriptions, advantages and disadvantages. Based on the comparison, the most suitable solution was selected. A force analysis of the selected variant is also performed and described. The end of the thesis contains the whole structure design and processed drawing documentation.
Universal Inspection and Measuring Station
Brýdl, Adam ; Bradáč, František (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
The task of this thesis is the design and construction of semi-automatic control and measuring station. The station is designed for testing the presence and measurement of the correct position of light guides and seals in the connector. Station contains a tool for testing the blinding of connectors. The design and construction of a semi-automatic control and measuring station is necessary using several types of sensors and sliding linear axes controlled by servo drives. The assignment of the thesis is solved in cooperation with the company Mechatronic Design & Solutions s.r.o. in Brno.
Intake Ports for the Wankel Engine
Smělý, Jiří ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with design of intake port for turbocharged Mazda 13B-T engine with Wankel-type rotating piston motion aiming for possible modifications leading to increase of performance parameters. The main objective of this thesis is to propose appropriate modifications in order to achieve increased torque in widest possible engine speed range.
Influence of annular seal on rotor dynamics
Kurková, Michaela ; Pochylý, František (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
The thesis deals with the problem of annular seals and their influence on rotor dynamics. In the first part the derivation of the basic analytical solution is presented. Subsequently, a FEM model of the rotor with the influence of annular seal is constructed. The model is used to analyze the effect of the seal on the rotor dynamics. The last part of the paper is devoted to the conceptual design of the experiment and its basic dynamic analysis.
Construction of foundry core boxes and their use for the production of silicone parts
Skalický, Jan ; Kaněra, Miloš (referee) ; Jelínek, Radim (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a mold for use in casting of plastics and rubbers. The product is two different gaskets used in the testing of tubes for automotive industry. The part has a cylindrical shape with a diameter of 19 mm and a length of 25 mm, where two holes with a diameter of 4 mm are additionally drilled in one of them. Depending on the service life, the batch size is approximately 200 pieces per year. The material was not specified, so after research two options were chosen. The first was RTV-2 condensation silicone rubber LUKOPREN N 1522 from Lučební závody a.s. Kolín and the second one was RTV-2 additive silicone rubber ELASTOSIL M 4642 A/B from Wacker-Chemie, s.r.o. The second material came out better from preliminary testing. By gradually improving the design of a simple single-piece steel mold, a final version was created which is double in size and consists of three parts. It is made by 3D printing using FDM method from PLA material. It was found that in order to achieve a defect-free casting, the mix must be vacuumed before casting.
